HARARE – Delta Corporation Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting vulnerable children through a US$10,000 donation to Mathew Rusike Children’s Home, continuing a partnership that has lasted for more than two decades.
The donation was handed over at the children’s home in Epworth, Harare, where Delta Corporation officials also toured several projects the company has supported over the years.
For Multimedia, the initiative forms part of a wider communications journey in which the agency has helped Delta Corporation document and share the stories behind its community investments through public relations, media engagement, content development and strategic storytelling.
More Than 20 Years of Community Support
Delta Corporation General Manager for Corporate Affairs, Patricia Murambinda, said the company had supported Mathew Rusike Children’s Home throughout much of its development.
“Over the years, Delta Corporation has had the privilege of walking alongside Mathew Rusike Children’s Home in its development journey. We have supported this home for more than 20 years, and one can find that most of the projects are from Delta,” Murambinda said.
The partnership has resulted in several projects aimed at improving the safety, welfare and development of children at the institution.
These include:
Installation of a solar power system
Installation of CCTV security cameras
Construction of classroom facilities
Provision of water tanks
Establishment of a poultry farming project
The CCTV system was among the early interventions introduced to strengthen the safety and protection of children at the home.
Over the past seven years alone, Delta Corporation has invested approximately US$70,000 in projects at Mathew Rusike Children’s Home, demonstrating a long-term approach to corporate social responsibility rather than reliance on once-off donations.
The latest US$10,000 contribution will support the home’s ongoing operations and the welfare of the children under its care.

Supporting a Safe Environment for Children
Mathew Rusike Children’s Home currently accommodates 59 children in a family-based environment designed to provide stability, protection and holistic development.
The institution provides education, healthcare and other essential services while nurturing children in an environment centred on family values and personal development.
Delta Corporation’s continued support is aimed at strengthening this environment and ensuring that children have access to the facilities and opportunities they need to grow and thrive.
Multimedia’s Role in Telling the CSR Story
For organisations investing in communities, meaningful impact is only part of the story. Effective communication also plays an important role in documenting that impact, recognising the people involved and demonstrating the long-term value of corporate investment.
Through public relations, media engagement, content development and multimedia storytelling, Multimedia has supported Delta Corporation in communicating its community initiatives to wider audiences.
The agency’s approach goes beyond announcing donations. It focuses on capturing the broader story behind corporate social responsibility — the beneficiaries, the projects, the partnerships and the change created over time.
By telling these stories effectively, companies can build greater awareness of their community programmes while encouraging broader conversations around sustainable corporate citizenship.
For Multimedia, helping communicate that journey reflects the agency’s wider commitment to using strategic communications to amplify stories of meaningful social and community impact.
Great impact deserves to be seen, understood, and remembered.
